
The Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadanland, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Giwa has urged the Muslim in Ibadan land and Oyo State at large to continue to maintain peaceful co-existence.
Giwa, in a statement through his media office to commemorate the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, saluted the religious leaders for being on top of their game to checkmate their followers and ensuring that what brings peace, tranquility and peaceful co-existence to Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria as whole is sustained.
I specifically salute the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiy Agbotomokekere and the entire Imam-in-Council, the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Alhaji Dawud Akinola, Wakil Mumin of Oyo State, Prof. Kamil Oloso, Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Oyo State, Alhaji Mutiu Oladejo (Onimaalu), Babasale Musulimi of Ibadanland, Chief Nureni Akanbi and Iya Adini Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaja Shekinat Adekola and all other Islamic leaders, scholars, preachers and faithful.
“I salute you all for being their for Islam, for ensuring that what brings peace, tranquility and peaceful co-existence to Ibadan land, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole is sustained.
”I want to appeal to everyone to build on this foundation, let us continue to maintain that peaceful co-existence among all other religious faithful to be able to enjoy the economic growth, prosperity and development of our dear beloved town, city, state and the country.
”We all know the importance of Eid-el-Kabir festival, let us all at times be ready to submit ourselves to the will of the almighty Allah, let us be obedience to the rules and regulations guiding the affairs in land, let us obey our leaders, let us promote unity among ourselves irrespective of culture, tribe and religion affiliations and let us celebrate Eid-el-Kabir with modesty by remember the poor among us.
”Finally, I want to appeal to us to use this period of Eid-el-Kabir festival to pray for our leaders in Nigeria, Oyo and Ibadanland for knowledge, understanding and God’s guidance,” the founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation said.
