Following his appointment as the Chairman, Senate Committee on South West Development Commission (SWDC), Arc (Dr.) Hassan Giwa has congratulated the Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Yunus Akintunde.
Arc Giwa, in a statement, said the appointment of Senator Akintunde by the Senate leadership was a rightful and well thoughtful decision.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain described Senator Akintunde as an experience and people-oriented politician, who will use his leadership qualities to ensure smooth running of the Commission.
Arc Giwa, who is the founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, expressed his believe in the ability of the newly appointed Senate Committee Chairman on South West Development Commission to use his connection, experience and humility to facilitate rapid development through the Commission to the South West region.
“I want to congratulate our able Senator Yunus Akintunde on his appointment as the Chairman, Senate Committee on the South West Development Commission (SWDC) by the leadership of the Senate. I believe you have what it takes to discharge the tasks and responsibilities attached to the office effectively and efficiently.
“Senator Akintunde, having served as a Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, and Executive Assistant to former governor in Oyo State, is experienced to ensure the smooth running of the Commission to the betterment of the South West region.
