Femi Adebayo’s Seven Doors Receives 11 AMVCA Nominations

Popular Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo’s Netflix original series, Seven Doors has received 11 nominations at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

AMVCAs is an initiative of MultiChoice Nigeria to celebrate excellence in African storytelling, recognising achievements across 27 award categories, 18 of which will be decided by a jury, while nine are open to public voting.

The movie producer announced the feat in a post on his verified Facebook account on Monday.

Jelili, as he is popularly known, described the achievement as a major landmark in his career.

Netflix original series, Seven Doors was nominated in key categories including Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa), Best Scripted Series, Best Score Music, Best Director, Best Make-Up, Best Art, Best Sound and Sound Design, and Best Writer.

The nominees for this year’s AMVCA were officially unveiled on Sunday, spotlighting some of the continent’s most outstanding talents in film, television, and digital entertainment.

The 2025 awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on May 10, while voting for public categories remains open until May 4 via the Africa Magic website. This year’s edition will also include two honorary recognitions, namely the Lifetime Achievement and Trailblazer Awards.
