
The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has charged immediate past Local Government Chairmen in the state to remain steadfast to the ideals of the party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Speaker gave the charge when some some ex-council boss paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the Parliament Building Secretariat, Ibadan.
The delegation was led by Hon. Gbadamosi Kazeem Adeyemi, who was the former Lagelu Local Government Chairman.
The Speaker said irrespective of scheming that may be going on in some quarters, they must continue to champion the course of the party at all levels.
Hon. Ogundoyin stressed that the PDP remains the strongest party in Oyo State and will be the party to beat in 2027.
Hon. Gbadamosi Kazeem Adeyemi said that they visited the Speaker to reaffirm their membership and loyalty to the PDP, while also celebrating the Speaker’s birthday.
The former Chairmen, who had also met with the leadership of the party at the PDP State Secretariat, praised the Speaker for his exceptional leadership qualities and pledged to remain committed members of the PDP, despite rumors suggesting otherwise.
They appreciated the Speaker’s sterling leadership roles and qualities, acknowledging the party’s strength in Oyo State.
Also included in the delegation is Hon. Adeoye Adedoyin (Ibarapa Central), Hon. Gbenga Obalowo (Ibarapa East), Hon. Olaide Settle (Oluyole), Hon. Sunday Akindele Ojo (Afijio), Hon. Sanusi Musibau Shaba (Ona-Ara), and Hon. Kabiru (Ogbomoso North).
