It was a gathering of the ‘biggests’ in the entertainment industry as the ace Nollywood actor, Lateef Adedimeji premiered his latest movie, Lisabi.
Lagos State was at a standstill for the most adored couple in the industry, Lateef and his wife, Adebimpe (Mo Bimpe), who finally brought their long-awaited debut movie, Lisabi, to life.
Nollywood heavyweights like Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Toyin Abraham, Ibrahim Yekini (Itele), and Ibrahim Chatta, among countless others, graced the occasion in jaw-dropping fashion.
Addressing the galaxy of stars in a gesture of profound humility, Lateef bowed his head deeply, almost to the floor, and offered a sincere apology to anyone he might have unknowingly offended during the making of Lisabi.
He admitted that in the pursuit of perfection, misunderstandings were inevitable.
Addedimeji, however, said that with every challenge, he assured them, the result was worth it – and he proudly declared that Lisabi was nothing short of perfection.
Netflix officially announced that ‘Lisabi: The Uprising’ will premiere on September 27, 2024, followed by its sequel, ‘Lisabi: A Legend is Born,’ in January 2025.
Lateef disclosed that the movie, Lisabi: The Uprising’, costs him 400 million naira.
