In recognition of his valuable contributions towards the development of Ibadan land, human and sporting development, as well as growing economy through his skills in modern, standard and enrich architectural landscape, the Ibadan Descendants Development Union (IDDU), Canada Inc. and Elite Sporting Football Academy (ESFA) have honour Arc Hassan Olawale Giwa with Awards of Excellence.
The Ibadan Descendants Development Union (IDDU) honoured Arc Giwa, who is the Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadan land during the maiden edition of Canada version of Ibadan Day, celebrated on Friday, August 30 2024.
The event was held at LW Banquet and Convention Centre, 4611 Steeless avenue, North York, Toronto Canada.
According to the President of the Union, Alhaji Taiwo Akere Azeez, the event is organized to offer valuable insights and developmental discussions about Ibadan land and to honour Ibadan indigenes, who support Canada economy with their businesses and professions.
He noted that the Awards of Excellence presented to Arc Hassan Olawale Giwa ND some Ibadan indigenes from within and outside Canada, is to recognize their exceptional contributions and participation towards the enhancement and progress of Ibadan land.
Presenting the Award of Excellence in Architecture, the Chairman, Organizing Committee, Alhaji Moruff Omotayo Wahab, disclosed that IDDU Canada recognized Arc Giwa exceptional talent, dedication and innovative vision in architecture, blending beauty with functionality to set new standards and enrich the modern architectural landscape.
Also, while presenting Award of Excellence in Community Service, Social Work and Human Development, the founder and the Chief executive Officer of Elite Sporting Football Academy, Mr. Akeola Lukuman Ayinde, said that the award is a mean to appreciate the efforts of Arc Hassan Giwa for bridging the gap in community service, social work and human development.
He disclosed that acknowledging the valuable contributions of people like Giwa in the society, is the only way to encourage them to do more, and as well to attract more people to inculcate the habit of giving back to society .
In appreciation message, Arc Giwa commended the Ibadan Descendants Development Union for championing the course of Ibadan land in Canada. He added that it is a way to demonstrate that they did not forget their home.
He also applauded the founder of Elite Sporting Football Academy for talent discovery, promotion and nurturing to prominence.
The founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation appreciated them for finding him worthy of the awards. He assured that he will continue to contribute his quota towards the envelopment of Ibadan land, humanity and society at large.
The Elite Sporting Football Academy Award of Excellence in Community Service, Social Work and Human Development was presented on 8th September, 2024.
