Following the series of achievements he has recorded as a lawmaker in his constituency and at the floor of the Oyo State House of Assembly, an Ibadan-based media outfit, Happy People Magazine has honoured Hon. Oluwafowokanmi Oluwafemi Adebayo with an Outstanding Lawmaker Award.
The award was presented to Hon. Adebayo, representing Ibadan South West state constituency 2, at the well attended 10th anniversary of Happy People Magazine held at The Space Lounge, MKO Abiola Way, Ring Road, Ibadan.
Speaking shortly after receiving his award, Hon. Fowokanmi Adebayo, applauded the sentiment of Happy People Magazine for organizing one of the most fair and credible awards events in Oyo State.
The lawmaker, who is the Chairman, Committee on Tertiary Education in the Oyo State House of Assembly, disclosed that he has no option not to be a good ambassador of the constituency because his presence in politics was a call to service by the God almighty.
Hon. Adebayo said that after God the appreciation should go to the state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for creating an enabling environment for him to provide good representation to the people of Ibadan South West state constituency.
The lawmaker, who is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Betterlife Investment Nigeria Limited, expressed his readiness to use his office to promote the youth in his constituency and beyond.
While charging them to not engage in any act that is capable of leading them into trouble, Hon. Adebayo identified entertainment as one of the sectors youths can tap into and become prominent persons in the society.
He noted that though he has been reaching out to various communities under his constituency through different developmental projects to ensure they enjoy dividends of democracy, he, as well, assured the people that he will not relent in his efforts to ensure that they continue to experience his support whenever it is needed.
Hon. Adebayo reiterated his call for the people of the constituency to continue to support the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde for good governance and effective delivering of dividends of democracy from the state to the grassroots.
Dedicating the Outstanding Lawmaker Award to the youth in his constituency, Betterlife, as he is fondly called, promised to make them proud at the state legislative chamber through bills and motions that will make life more meaningful and worthy to live.
Hon. Oluwafowokanmi Adebayo was commended by the organizer, Happy People Magazine Publisher, Oludotun Ajibola, for his dedication and commitment to the development of the people in his constituency.
He said that the lawmaker has been an employer of labour since 2005 when he registered his company, Betterlife Investment Nigeria Limited.
