An Iwo born promising Nollywood actress, Tosin Olaniyan has said that Ibadan born actors and actresses are the best when it comes to passing insult to people on movies sets.
Odunlade Adekola trained actress clarified that actors or actresses from Iwo town in Osun State are coming after Ibadan counterparts.
The actress gave the ‘jab’ while featuring on a radio programme, ‘Gbogbo Irawo on success FM’ anchored by Waheed Akintayo (Ilumoka Presenter).
Responding to why actors or actresses from Iwo take so much interest in passing insult to people, the soft spoken actress did not waste time to give reply that Iwo is coming after Ibadan when it comes to that.
Olaniyan jokingly cited Muyiwa Olagoke Londoner as a typical example of actor from Ibadan who enjoys so much joy in passing insult while on set.
“Ibadan is the first before we can mention Iwo. Londoner is the number one typical example of actor in the industry that loves to pass insult. It is just a talent from God.”
On what attracted her to theatre, Tosin, a former church chorister, said she loves acting naturally since she was a young girl.
“I don’t know what actually attracted my interest to theatre but I just know that I love acting since I was younger. I was a member of choir and drama group in the the church, so also in the secondary school, I was a member of Akomolede (a drama group), anytime we wanted to do something, I would just insisted that I wanted to participate in drama, I don’t know why, I just love it naturally.
Reacting to the position of her parents as regards her career, Tosin, the producer of Ehanna, said she was blessed with parents who don’t dictate to children.
“I came from a family where they allow children to choose whatever they want to do. My parents don’t dictate to their children, they explain both advantages and disadvantages for you to be guided on whether you want to continue or you want to quit.”
