The newly sworn-in Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Engr Akeem Olatunji has assured the people of the council area of good governance.
Engr. Olatunji gave the assurance after he was sworn-in by the Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice Iyabo Yerima at the House of Chiefs on Friday.
The new Council Chairman expressed his readiness to toe the line of good governance established by the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
Olatunji said that his administration will focus on infrastructure development, economic expansion and empowerment, education, healthcare, security and agriculture to make lives more meaningful to the people of the local government.
He said that his administration will work on improvement of the council Internally Generated Revenue and employment opportunity for the teeming youths.
Olatunji appreciated the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, who found him worthy to run for the election under the platform of the peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and all political gladiators at the state and local government levels.
“I must categorically place on record here and now that I owe this opportunity to serve you to my political father, mentor, and leader, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, who found me worthy to run for the election as the PDP flag bearer. I’m eternally grateful to you sir, and I’ll do everything humanly possible to make you my proud political father.
As we stand at this threshold of a new chapter, I want to assure you that I remain dedicated and committed to turning our shared vision into a reality.
“Our focus as an administration will be on a Strategic Oluyole Grassroots Development Agenda which is a replica of Governor Seyi Makinde’s Sustainable Development Agenda at the grassroots, designed to uplift every corner of our local government and ensuring sustainable growth and prosperity for our people just like Governor Seyi Makinde is doing at the state level,” Olatunji assured.
