Police To Charge Auxiliary For Murder

The Nigeria Police Force, Oyo State Command has said that former Chairman of the state Park Management System (PMS), Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi popularly known as Auxiliary will be charged to court for murder and other offences allegedly committed.

Police disclosed this during the parade of Alhaji Lamidi Auxiliary at the Police Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan on Thursday.

It will be recalled that the Department of State Services, DSS, on Tuesday arrested Auxiliary at his Olodo residence, Ibadan.

The state Commissioner of Police, Adebola Hamzat, said the Alhaji Lamidi Auxiliary will be charged to court for offences he had allegedly committed.

“Exhibits recovered in his possession at his Diamond Hotel residence around Alakia-Isebo Egbeda under Egbeda Local Government Area at the time include one AK-47 Rifle, four (4) AK-47 magazines, Eighty four (84) live AK-47 Ammunitions, Nineteen (19) pump action rifles, one Beretta Pistol, Seven Cut-to-size Gun, one English made Barrel Gun

“Others are Seven Hundred and twenty four (724) live cartridges, 25 cutlasses, Seven Jack knives, thirty three(33) mobile phones, one Samsung Laptop, Charms, One Mazda Bus, One Toyota Sienna, Cash sum of Three Million, Four Hundred and fifty thousand naira, (N3,450,000.00).”In furtherance of these, discreet intelligence-led search commenced for the sacked PMS chieftain with the help of technology, collaborative efforts with Sister Services and Community Policing, many locations were identified, traced and combed for months until his recent arrest in a concerted effort with our sister services.

“Moving forward, the suspect would be charged to court for offences committed.

“While the command is thanking the public for providing credible information to curb crime, it has become imperative to affirm to the general public about our resolve to deal decisively with any criminally motivated individual or group who intends to flip the State retrogressively into the historical dark ages of the “Wild West”.

“if you see something, say something and the Police will immediately do something,” he said.

The embattled former PMS boss was declared wanted by the Police some months ago over his alleged involvement in a series of armed robbery, kidnapping and murder cases in Oyo State.
