The chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) and immediate past chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON),Oyo State, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye has extended his condolences to the Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Senator Fatai Buhari , and members of his family on the death of his mother, Alhaja Sarat Buhari.
In a statement made available to journalists through his media office, Prince Aleshinloye, said that he received the news with disbelief and shock.
The Former ALGON boss said that he joined Senator Buhari and the entire family in mourning of their matriarch, Alhaja Buhari, whose modest, cheerful giver and compassionate disposition and lifestyle would remain a source of inspiration for her offspring and all who knew her.
Abass-Aleshinloye, who also described the deceased as a quintessential mother, pillar of support to her son, devout Muslim and community leader, disclosed that the deceased devoted her lifetime to the service of God and humanity.
“As mortals we never want our elderly ones to die, but the Holy Books say that all souls must taste death. So, we have to submit to the supreme will of the Almighty from whom we came and unto whom we shall all return,” he said.
He prayed that mama’s soul will rest in perfect peace and that God grant the Buhari family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
