The leadership crisis in the Lagos State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has been settled.
It took the intervention of major stakeholders at both the federal and state levels to reconcile the two factions.
The stakeholders have agreed to return Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo as the Chairman of the Union.
With the resolutions made at the stakeholders’ meeting, senior executive members have resolved to work together amicably in the overall interest of the Union.
According to the Secretary of the state chapter of the NURTW, Lemboye Akinsanya, disclosed at the end of the meeting in Lagos State that, members have agreed that Musiliu Akinsanya remains the Chairman of the state NURTW, while Mustapha Adekunle will be in charge of finance and administration of the Union in the state.
Lemboye added that other executive members elected during the state Delegate Conference in November 2023 still remain valid.
