In order to reduce the number of aspirants aspiring to fly the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket in the November governorship election in Ondo, the party may opt for a consensus candidate.
The leadership of the party disclosed this decision after a meeting with the party aspirants at its secretariat, in Akure.
Speaking at the end of the meeting, the Publicity Secretary of the party, Kennedy Peretei, said If the consensus plan fails to materialise, the party will be left with no option but to organise a free, fair, and transparent primary.
The aspirants who attended the interactive session include Sola Ebiseni, Agboola Ajayi, Bamidele Akingboye, Adeolu Akinwunmi, Bosun Arebuwa, and John Ola Mafo, amongst others.
