Olubadan Seeks Support Of Ibadan’ FCT Indigenes Of Tinubu’s Administration

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Senator (Dr.) Mohood Lekan Balogun (CFR), Alli Okunmade II, has called on Ibadan indigenes in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to continue supporting the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

The monarch also charged them to remain the good ambassadors.

The king made this known during a meeting with members of the Council of Ibadan Indigenes Abuja (CIIA) on Saturday, January 27, urging them to foster development in the area.

The Olubadan, represented by the Aremo Olubadan, Prince Femi Balogun expressed his delight at the achievements and activities of the Ibadan people in the nation’s capital.

He said: “I am proud of you all for representing Ibadan well in FCT. You have shown your loyalty and commitment to the Tinubu administration, which is working hard to transform Nigeria into a prosperous and peaceful country. You have also contributed to the development and welfare of Ibadan land through your various projects and initiatives.”

The Olubadan urged the council members to continue supporting the president, whom he described as a visionary and patriotic leader.

Olubadan of Ibadan also promised to support the Council of Ibadan Indigene Abuja (CIIA) to enable them to play more tangible roles in the current dispensation.

“I will do everything in my power to assist you in your endeavours. I will also liaise with the current administration to ensure that Ibadan indigenes in the FCT are given due recognition and opportunities. I want you to be part of the decision-making process and the implementation of policies that will benefit Ibadanland in particular and Nigeria as a whole,” the monarch said.

The President of Council Ibadan indigene Abuja FCT, Alh. AbdulGaniy Adigun, thanked Olubadan for the visit and his words of encouragement. He assured the monarch that the council members would remain loyal and supportive of the Tinubu administration.

He said: “We are grateful to you, Your Imperial Majesty, for honouring us with your presence and your kind words. We are also grateful to President Tinubu for his visionary leadership and his love for Ibadanland and Nigeria. We will continue to work with him and his team to achieve his eight-point agenda and make Nigeria a better place for all.”

The Olubadan’s representatives, led by Aremo Balogun was later treated to a banquet after the meeting.
