The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has nominated the former Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly, Chief Olayide Adelami, as his Deputy Governor.
This was followed after the governor dissolved the State Executive Council and sacked other political appointees of the late governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Aiyedatiwa has therefore forwarded his name to the state House of Assembly for ratification.
Adelami, was a governorship aspirant of the All Progressive Congress in 2020.
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, confirmed the nomination of Olayide Adelami as the Deputy Governor.
Adelami, who retired from the National Assembly in April 2018, hailed from Owo area of the state.
