The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Lagos Command has confirmed the arrival of popular Afrobeat singer and owner of Malian Record Label, Azeez Fashola, Naira Marley.
The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this on Tuesday.
He disclosed in his X page that Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities.
Naira Marley had earlier posted on his X page that will arrive Lagos to assist in the ongoing probe of the death of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba aka MohBad.
The singer revealed this in a tweet on Tuesday, adding that he’d also be meeting with the police.
“I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole.
“I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail,” the tweet reads.
