The Kano State Fire Service has confirmed the death of One Umar Ayuba, who fell and died while attempting to retrieve clothes inside well.
The spokesperson of Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident on Tuesday, disclosed that Umar Ayuba, a 37-year-old man fell inside well after he was asked to help to retrieve some wrappers belonging to some women in the area.
“We received an emergency call at about 5:20 p.m. from one Mamuda Abdallah, who said that a man had been trapped inside a well.
“We immediately sent our rescue team to the scene at about 5:32 pm.
