Wasiu Olatunbosun, Oyelade Top Makinde’s Second Batch Commissioner Designates

Names of former Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun and former Chairman, Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), Prince Dotun Oyelade topped the list of the second batch of the commissioner designates forwarded to the House of Assembly for confirmation by Governor Seyi Makinde.

The list also contained eight other nominees to be screened at the next plenary sitting on Tuesday according to the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Abiodun Fadeyi, who presided over the siting.

The list is in addition to already seven nominees screened and confirmed by the state House of Assembly.

The names of the new set of nominees are Mr. Abiodun Aikomo, Mr. Segun Olayiwola,  Dr. Wasiu Olatunbisun, Prof. Abdulwaheed Soliu, Barrister Sunkanmi Olaleye, Hon. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, Mr. Williams Akin – Funmilayo, Prince Dotun Oyelade and Chief Obafemi Ademola Ojo.

The names were contained in a letter forwarded to the state House of Assembly by Governor Seyi Makinde and read by the Deputy Speaker.

The letter stated that the nominees were considered worthy of appointment to serve the state meritoriously.

The House, however, directed the commissioner designates to forward 50 copies of their credentials, evidence of clearance from the Code of Conduct to the Office of the Clerk and equally appear for the screening on Tuesday, 25th July, 2023 by 10:00am.

It will be recalled that the first batch, which includes Prof. Kehinde Sangodoyin, Prof. Musibau Babatunde, Barrister Seun Asamu, Mr. Akinola Ojo,  Alhaja  Faosat Sanni, Hon. Adebisi Adeniyi  and Mrs. Toyin Balogun were already confirmed by the House.
