Seven months after his inauguration as governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has forwarded the list of commissioner nominees to the state House of Assembly for confirmation.
Also contained in the list are names of nominees for the position of special advisers.
The Speaker, Adewale Egbedun, read Governor Ademola Adeleke’s letter containing the nominees to members of the House of Assembly at the plenary on Friday.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Olatunde Tiamiyu, made this known in a statement made available to journalists in Osogbo, Osun State capital.
The nominees include Oladosu Babatunde, Bayo Ogungbangbe, Sesan Ephraim Oyedele, Kolapo Alimi, Soji Ajeigbe, Moshood Olalekan Olagunju, George Alabi, and Sunday Olufemi Oroniyi.
Also appointed are Abiodun Bankole Ojo, Basiru Tokunbo Salami, Morufu Ayofe, Sola Ogungbile, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, Mrs. Ayo Awolowo, Wole Jimi Bada, Dipo Eluwole, Rasheed Aderibigbe, and Prof. Morufu Ademola Adeleke.
Others are Adeyemo Festus Ademola, Olabiyi Anthony Odunlade, Jola Akintola, Mayowa Adejorin, Mrs. Adenike Folashade Adeleke, Tola Faseru, and Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa.
The House of Assembly has also set up an ad hoc committee to conduct a preliminary screening of the nominees before they appear before the House for full screening and confirmation.
Governor Ademola Adeleke was sworn-in on November 27, 2022.
