Makinde’s Five Commissioner Nominees Confirmed 

The Oyo State House of Assembly has Screened and confirmed five of the commissioner nominees forwarded by the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
Out of seven commissioner designates forwarded by the governor, two were absent. They were Mrs. Toyin Balogun, who was Governor Seyi Makinde’s Women Mobilization Director in the last general election and former Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Prof. Musbau Babatunde.
The Commissioner nominees confirmed by the House on Tuesday are  Mr. Akinola Ojo, Barrister Seun Ashamu, Alhaja  Fausat Joke Sanni, Prof. Daud Sangodoyin, and Mr. Adeniyi Adebisi.
Their names contained in a list forwarded to the House by the governor and read at plenary by the Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin last week Thursday.
The Speaker of the House, Hon. Ogundoyin, in his remarks, said that the House had exercised its constitutional powers by confirming the appointment of the nominees, therefore, urged the nominees to contribute their quota to the development of the state.
The speaker commended the governor on the calibre of people he nominated as commissioners, saying that their vast experiences would be of help in repositioning the state.
In an interview with some of the commissioner nominees after the screening exercise, Alhaja Ajoke Sanni and Mr.  Adeniyi Adebisi expressed happiness at their nomination by Governor Makinde and described the opportunity as a call to serve the people of Oyo State again.
Hon. Daud Sangodoyin assured that the objective of the commissioner nominees is to support the governor in his vision to take the state from poverty to prosperity.
