The Oyo State House of Assembly will on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 screen the commissioner-nominees sent to the state Assembly for confirmation by Governor Seyi Makinde.
As a result, the Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has directed the seven commissioner-nominees to submit fifty copies of their credentials to the Clerk on or before 5 O’clock in the afternoon tomorrow Friday, 23rd June 2023.
The Speaker gave the directive during plenary on Thursday after reading a letter from the executive requesting for the screening of nominees.
Hon. Ogundoyin, who said the commissioner nominees are expected to submit evidence of their submitted code of conduct bureau form, explained that they are to appear before the House next week Tuesday, 27th June, 2023.
Names of the commissioner nominees read on the floor of the House include Mr. Adeniyi Adebisi, Mr. Akinola Ojo, Prof. Musibau Babatunde, Prof. Daud Sangodoyin, Mrs. Toyin Balogun, Mr. Seun Ashamu and Alhaja Fausat Joke Sanni
Meanwhile, the House has reinstated the suspended Saki East Local Government Chairman, Engr. Sarafadeen Omirinde and Iseyin Local Government, Hon. Raheem Ajibola.
This was followed after the House adopted the report of the Adhoc Committee on Local Government chaired by Hon. Peter Ojedokun.
