Presidential Election: Oyo INEC Declares Tinubu Winner With Over 400 Votes

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has been declared the winner of the presidential election in Oyo State.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Oyo State made the declaration on Monday.

The state’s Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Prof. Olusola Kehinde declared the results on behalf of the Commission.

Prof. Kehinde disclosed that APC candidate, Bola Tinubu polled 449,884 votes to defeat the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who polled 182,977 and Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi who scored 99,110 votes.

The Returning Officer noted that Saturday’s presidential election had 18 political parties participating.

Prof. Kehinde further disclosed that the registered voters for the election were 3,247,310, while credited voters were 854,439. While the number of valid votes was 809,485, a rejected vote was 42,471 and total votes cast were 851,956.
