The national Independent Electoral Commission has released the number of collected Permanent Voters’ cards nationwide.
According to the Commission, 87,209,007 Permanent Voter IDs have been collected so far.
The Chairman of the electoral body, Mahmood Yakubu made the announcement on Thursday at a press conference held at the national collation center in Abuja.
He said that the number increased after the Commission extended the deadline from January 29 to February 5.
