INEC Begins Distribution Of Sensitive Materials In Oyo

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in Oyo state has commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to the 33 local governments in the state.

The Commission began the distribution at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in the presence of the representatives of political parties.

The distribution of sensitive materials, which started in some states like Lagos and Ekiti two days ago, has confirmed the readiness of INEC for the conduct of the much awaited 2023 general elections in the country.

Speaking at the distribution centre, the Oyo State Residents Electoral Commissioner (REC), Dr. Adeniran Tella, said that the distribution began at two o’clock in the morning.

He said that the materials would be redistributed to polling units while Registration Area Centre (RAC) would be activated on Friday.

He assured residents of a seamless voting exercise with credible, fair and acceptable elections.

Two members of different political parties in Oyo state, Alhaji Tajudeen Olanife and Mr. Idowu Awokoya, expressed satisfaction with the distribution of the materials and INEC’s readiness for the exercise.
