Contrary to the rumour on various online news platforms that All Progressives Congress A(PC) has announced former Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomole as campaign Director General of the Party, the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu has unveiled Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State as the Director General of the party’s presidential campaign organisation.
The National Chairman, who led the presidential candidate of the party Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima to a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in his office in Abuja, made the announcement at a briefing on Thursday.
Senator Adamu equally unveiled a former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo as the interim spokesperson of the Campaign Organisation, while the deputy spokesperson is Bar. Hanatu Musa Musa.
According to him, the meeting was to brief the President and get his approval on the party’s plans regarding the campaign outfit and organogram.
Simon Lalong is the Chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum.
It will be recalled that some online news platforms have been circulating unverified speculation by spreading the name of former Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomole as the campaign Director General of the ruling All Progressive Congress.
