How Olopoeyan Instigated Me Against Governor Makinde- Mukaila Auxiliary

Mukaila Lamidi (Auxiliary)

The Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the Oyo State Park Management System, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi popularly known has Auxiliary has revealed how he was instigated by one-time Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan against the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

Auxiliary in an interview with BBC Yoruba recently said that Olopoeyan left the ruling PDP and Governor Seyi Makinde as a result of his alleged greediness and self-centeredness.

According to Alhaji Lamidi “we were all in the same political party before but he left due to his greediness and selfish interest. I have known Governor Seyi Makinde for a long time, we were all following him including Olopoeyan. I myself and Olopoeyan were one-time followers of former Alao Akala before we joined Governor Seyi Makinde.

“Olopoeyan is a greediness person, who always wanted to have everything, such person at the end of the day will not get anything, this is based on what I witnessed in the relationship between Olopoeyan and Governor Makinde, how he (Olopoeyan) used to collect #2 million from the governor every Tuesday, please, what kind of job he is doing for him?

“What led to a fight between me and Olopoeyan, I am not the one he is fighting but God and when he is fighting God he can never win. I did not have it in my thinking that there will be a time that I will fight with him, never in my life and we have never exchanged words. What led to our fight was that he asked me to follow him, he instigated me against Governor Makinde. He said the governor has bought Big Daddy cars for all party chairmen in all the 33 local governments in the state, that what has he (Governor) done for me? He also mentioned fryo, that he has collected Muscle car from the governor, and I told him that the governor is trying for me because when I was imprisoned by the former Governor Abiola Ajimobi, the governor never left me in the prison, he never left my house till I got my freedom, he took care of me and my children and even paid their school fees. I told him that I witnessed several times that he (Olopoeyan) will come and ask for money to buy a car which he will not eventually buy. He will collect #5 million, it was something I witnessed more than four times, I said this man is giving you #2 million every Tuesday when he has not become the governor. He said he can’t follow him, that I should be doing double-standard and I said that is impossible because of what this man did for me all this while. By the time I returned, he also gave a certain amount of money, I told him that I am not an ingrate, I am a typical Ibadan man and governor too is an Ibadan man, therefore, Ibadan never betray one another, that was the basis of our fight, and all this happened before the elections and I have never seen him since except on the television screen. Where did we meet? we never engage in the same business or we are doing something together, that is his problem, it is not my own concern,” Auxiliary said.

BBC Yoruba confirmed that a call was put through to Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan but did not respond to the comment and allegations made by Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi (Auxiliary).
