Atiku Defeats Wike, Saraki To Emerge PDP Presidential Candidate

Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has emerged the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after defeating five other aspirants at the presidential primary election.

The PDP primary election was held at MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Saturday.

At the election which was aired on live television and monitored by ooduabulletin.com, Atiku polled the highest votes of 371.

The PDP primary election witnessed 762 delegates across the states participated.

The former Vice President defeated other frontline aspirants – Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and a former Senate President, Bukola Saraki who polled 237 and 70 votes respectively.

Pius Anyim: 14 votes

Udom Emmanuel: 38 votes

Bala Mohammed: 20 votes

Bukola Saraki: 70 votes

Nyesom Wike: 237 votes

Atiku Abubakar: 371 Votes

Void: 12 votes
