Senator representing Oyo Central at the National Assembly, Teslim Folarin has secured the ticket to contest 2023 gubernatorial election under the platform All Progressives Congress (APC).
The primary election, which was held at Obafemi Awolowo Stadium on Friday was attended by selected delegates.
A kind of re-accreditation and ‘harmonization’ had earlier been carried out at an event center (Jogor) not too far from the stadium.
It was at this point, according to respondents who spoke with PMParrot, that one of the fore-runners, Chief Adebayo Adelabu started to technically lose out.
Throughout the time PMParrot covered the shadow election, Adelabu was not sighted.
At the end of the day, Senator Teslim Folarin was able to gather 954 votes while his main challenger, Chief Adebayo Adelabu got 327 votes.

In his acceptance speech, Senator Teslim thanked all his supporters and urged fellow contestants to cooperate with him in order for the party to win the gubernatorial election in the state next year.
He also said he was dedicating his victory to God and to his late wife, Barrister Angela Folarin.
