The Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheik Abdulganiyy Agbotomokekere has stripped Alhaja Kafilat Kaola off her prestigious Islamic title of ‘Ummu Li Muminat’, which means Mother of the faithful Islamic title.
Alhaja Kaola, who is a popular Islamic scholar and a radio presenter was seen in a sex video has gone viral after it was leaked to the public some weeks ago.
The punishment, which was endorsed by the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheik Abdulganiyy Agbotomokekere, was to caution Alhaja Kaola from continuous denting the image of Islam.
The punitive action was also confirmed at the end of Ramadan prayer (Eid-el-Fitri) held at the Agodi, Ibadan praying ground on Monday.
it will be recalled that Alhaja Kaola ‘s former husband, Alhaji Sharafdeen, had reportedly released the sextape that circulated wide online. Before he released the video, the man alleged that Alhaja Kaola, is a sexually addicted.
After the video was leaked, all efforts by Alhaja Kaola to clear her name proved abortive as her arguments were not substantial enough to vindicate her of the allegation.
Alhaja Kaola had earlier revealed about a year ago that her former husband was threatening to release her nude photos and videos to the public.
Alhaja Kafila Kaola, who was married to Alhaji Sharafadeen in 2013 was blessed with five children, before they got divorced in 2019.
