Manchester United Football Club have officially announced the current Ajax FC coach, Erik Ten Hag as new manager. Erik Ten Hag is expected to resume with the team in June.
The Dutchman will be with the English Premiership side from the end of the season until June 2025 with an option to extend for a year.
The Ajax gaffer, 52, will replace interim boss Ralf Rangick in the summer after verbally agreeing to take charge last week.
Manchester United are currently occupying the sixth spot on the EPL log behind Arsenal with 54 points with five games to go for them this season.
Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are ahead of United for the fourth Champions League ticket in England. West Ham United and Wolves are breathing down the Red Devil’s neck for a Europa slot.
The Dutch man has a huge task to climb in his bid to bring back the glory days of the three times UEFA champions league winners back to the summit of English and European football.
About five players of the present United squad are out of contract in the summer and if they fail to secure a UCL spot next season, more first team players may force their way out, while no big face in Europe at the moment will want to stay in the cold of not playing in the UEFA champions league.
