
Hon. Bolu Adebayo political aspiration for the Oluyole’s seat in the federal House of Representatives received a boost yesterday when he met with party executives in a thank you visit to the Oluyole Local Government.
Speaking at the event, the Special Adviser to the governor, Hon. Olumide Akinlade, who expressed joy in the aspiration of Hon. Bolu, said that such a young, energetic and core indigene of Oluyole Local Government is expected to occupy the House of Representatives seat of the constituency, and not strangers who are not ready to follow the laid down rules and procedure which is serving as a guide.
“We thank God someone like Bolu Adebayo is aspiring and my wish and prayer is to get the ticket, he is not just living abroad, he is close to the grassroot, he participate in all the activities of the party financially and the party can only survive with someone or people of his kind.
“I will advise you that when God grants your wish, kindly remember where you are coming from, we know you, we know your parents and you grew up within this local government so we are for you,” he said.
It was a homecoming for Honourable Bolu Adebayo, who is aspiring for the House of Representative tickets in Oluyole federal constituency, as he was received by the leaders and major stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party in the council area with both arms.
The short meeting, which was heralded by Bolu’s encomium showered on him by the elders for the young retired naval officer and an entrepreneur was noticed by his philanthropy and kind gestures to the party and individuals.
Speaking, the PDP chairman in Oluyole local government expressed his joy by comments from other leaders of the party about the aspirant. He implored him to kindly take caution on so much advice being given to him by the people to know which is most preferable and to put into use. He, therefore, prayed for his emergence at the primary polls of the party.
Earlier, the young House of Representatives hopeful had expressed his interest to contest the Oluyole Federal Constituency seat, saying that if eventually become the party flag bearer and emerge the winner in the 2023 election, he will facilitate more federal presence to the constituency and promised to do better than those that have been there before him.
“I am determined to follow the laid down procedure of the founding fathers of the constituency”.
Among notable leaders at the visit include the one time chairman of the local government and a Party chieftain and an elder statesman, Hon. Olasunkanmi Salami, S.A to Gov. Seyi Makinde on Oluyole Constituency Hon. Olumide Akinlade, Pa Agoro, Elder Emmanuel Akinlade, Major Majekodunmi rtd., Alhaji Hassan and representatives from wards in Oluyole local government.
