When Shafaudeen Founder, Prof. Sabit Visited Olubadan Designate, Chief Lekan Balogun, Urged Him To Be Father Of All

Some notable Nigerians have been paying homage to the Alarere residence of the Olubadan designate, High Chief Lekan Balogun to felicitate him as preparation to receive the Staff of Office as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland getting to the climax.

Among the notable Nigerians that paid homage to the Olubadan designate was the Founder and Spiritual Head of Shafaudeen In Islam Worldwide, Prof. Sabit Ariyo Olagoke, who also doubled as Mogaji Aare Alasa of Kuelu Compound Ibadan.

Prof. Olagoke, who was accompanied by his wife, Alhaja Sabit and other top officials of the Islamic organization said that the purpose of the visit is to congratulate the Olubadan designate and wish him well as he is planning to ascend the exotic throne as 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The cleric pray for High Chief Lekan Balogun that God grants him sound health and wisdom required for a successful reign as the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

According to him, “I am also here to lend my voice of advice to him that a bush doesn’t make a forest, all the Ibadan Chiefs must be carried along and they must be ready to work with him as to move Ibadan forward in terms of development because they are the closest to the people at the grassroots, especially the Mogajis.

“We the Mogajis are the closest to the old, the young, the pregnant women, the market women, the youth and so many others like that, so if we have the knowledge that we will be query for any bridge of law or irregularities of any form that occurs in our various jurisdictions, then we should be ready to answers questions as to what are we looking before the matter get out of hand. This, in that wise will make us to seat tight and work with the monarch to achieve a better society and Ibadan that we all desired,” Prof. Olagoke said.

Alhaji Sabit Olagoke, a Professor of Engineering and an Islamic scholar maintained that all Ibadan Chiefs must ensure there is development in their areas and in Ibadan at large, noting that being a chief is not for fun or for showcasing of affluence.

He maintained that either religion or traditional title it is meant for selfless service to the society.

“Our Olubadan designate who was once a politician and now that he’s going to be fully crown as Olubadan, he should avoid engaging in partisan politics, because he can’t belong to any political party for now. He has for now become an umpire, a father of all. And I pray for his peaceful reign and long life on the throne.”

Recalled that the Olubadan designate has been appointed and approved by the state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde as the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland and has fixed March 11, 2022 as a coronation date for High Chief Lakan Balogun to step on the throne of his forefather’s as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland.
