The head coach of the newly promoted Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan, Edith Agoye has attributed the success of the team promotion to the lessons the management and players have learned from the past mistakes.

Coach Agoye expressed his joy following the qualification ticket they picked to play in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after four years in the National League.

The Oluyole Warriors secure the qualification ticket to the elite division on Saturday afternoon after they thrashed Ekiti United 6-0 in their final group game.

Speaking after the game, Agoye said they learned from past mistakes committed by the club and he also promised that the club will be fortified to be strong in the elite division.

According to the coach, “I don’t know how to express how I’m feeling, it is unbelievable, it’s been a long while finally, the day has arrived that the one of the greatest club in Nigeria will be back in the NPFL.

“Mistake were made in the first two attempts and we learned from them and we became matured as a team and individual.

“Definitely we will fortify the team to be strong in the National Professional Football League,” he said.
