
Former Chelsea midfielder and ex-Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi has joined Kuwaiti side, Al-Kuwait Sporting Club.
The news broke a month after penning a contract extension with Championship team Stoke City.
The Brigadiers announced the signing of the former Chelsea star on Thursday evening on social media. He will be on a one-year contract with Al-Kuwait.
The former Super Eagles captain played for Chelsea for 11 years before moving to China with Tianjin TEDA, where he played for two years. He returned to England on a short-term deal Middlesbrough and later joined Trabzonspor on a free transfer in 2019. Mikel Obi returned to England in August 2020 joining Stoke City.
