The Kaduna State-based Islamic scholar, Sheik Ahmad Gumi has been invited by the Department of State Service (DSS) for questioning.
The invitation was confirmed by the spokesman for the service, Afunaya Peter.
Though, the reason behind the invitation was not disclosed by the Service spokesperson, however, it is not unconnected to a recent interview where the cleric alleged that security operatives were colluding with terrorists and bandits.
Gumi has been championing a call for amnesty for the bandits, stating that they have been ‘forced’ into criminality due to, in part, government neglect.
Also, in an interview recently, Gumi alleged that some military operatives actively connive with bandits to wreak havoc on the country.
