Coca-Cola Truck Kills Three, As Police Prevents Mob Attack In Ibadan

Three people have been reportedly killed in an accident involving a Coca-cola truck and two motorcycles in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

The accident occurred at the Total garden Roundabout, some meters away from the second gate of the University College Hospital (UCH) around 8.00 am.

The accident which caused gridlock for several hours nearly generated a crisis as some angry youths in the area attempted to burn the Coca-cola truck. The crisis, however, was prevented by the security agents who shot into the air to disperse them.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso confirmed the incident.

He explained that “the accident occurred as a result of a collision between a Coca-Cola Howoo truck with Reg No APP 696 XV and two motorcycles. The bodies of the victims have been deposited at the Morgue.”

Others injured in the accident are receiving treatment at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan while the victims and the truck have been evacuated.
