Soun @ 95: Oyo Lawmaker, Hon. Bimbo Oladeji Sends Congratulatory Message

The lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Bimbo Olawumi Oladeji has joined the well-meaning of Ogbomoso and the state at large to congratulate the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oladuni Oyewumi who clocked 95 years of age.

The lawmaker also sent her congratulatory message all Indigenes of the town who were bestowed with chieftaincy titles to commemorate the birthday anniversary of the first class monarch.

Hon. Oladeji appreciated the Imperial Majesty for great feats  achieved so far during his reign as the Sound of Ogbomoso, the land of the valiant.

The congratulatory message contained in a statement she personally signed and made available to journalists on Friday.

Hon. Oladeji felicitated with all indigenes of Ogbomoso who are conferred with one chieftaincy title or the other by the Imperial Majesty.

“I, Honourable Bimbo Olawumi Oladeji, member representing Ogbomoso North State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, felicitates with all sons and daughters of Ogbomosoland who are today being conferred with honourary chieftaincy titles in recognition of their outstanding performances and achievements in their various fields of endeavours and for their contributions towards the development of Ogbomosoland.”

It would be recalled that His Imperial Majesty, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III on the occasion of his 95th birthday honoured some sons and daughters of the land with chieftaincy titles.

They include Senator Ayo Adeseun and Dr. (Mrs.) Fehintola Adeseun as Mayegun and Yeye Mayegun of Ogbomosoland, Air Vice-Marshall Jacob Bolaji and Mrs. Oluwafunmilayo Adigun as Akogun and Yeye Akogun of Ogbomosoland, Engineer Muftau Aremu Open and Alhaja Tawakalitu Salawu as Babalaje and Yeye Babalaje of Ogbomosoland and Dr. Akin Onigbinde (SAN) as Baamofin of Ogbomosoland.

Others are Ambassador Akin Oyateru as Gbobaniyi of Ogbomosoland, and Mrs. Rachel Onaolapo Phillips as Majeobaje Iyalode of Ogbomosoland.

Hon. Oladeji prayed for the new chieftaincy title holders to continue to make Ogbomoso proud in their chosen endeavours.

“It is my prayer that we shall all continue to wax stronger, bigger and better as we forge a common front in making Ogbomosoland a first class city on the world map. Congratulations once again.” the statement concluded
