The Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) has said that the suspended Chairmanship and Councillorship Elections in Ido Local Government Area of the state will hold tomorrow, Sunday, May 23, 2021.
The cancellation was due to the omission of the Zenith Labour Party logo on the ballot paper.
OYSIEC Chairman Barr. Isiaka Olagunju (SAN) disclosed. He said the Commission has contacted the printer of the ballot papers, and has assured that the new ballot papers will be printed and delivered today.
OYSIEC boss, while assuring all stakeholders that the suspended election in Ido Local Government will hold tomorrow between 8am and 3pm, he apologized to all participating political parties for the inconveniences the development might caused.
Barr. Olagunju also said that movement of vehicles with the affected council area will be restricted within the stipulated time for the election.
