Not less than 150 candidates have been sponsored by Hon. Isiaka Kazeem for the registration of the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Hon. Kazeem is a Lawmaker representing Oyo East/West State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The data capturing and thumb printing of first batch out of 150 candidates which cou across the constituency had started for almost two weeks at the Emmanuel Alayande College of Education (EACOED) and Atiba University in Oyo.
The programme is expected to last till the closure of official website of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board(JAMB).
Hon. Isiaka Kazeem, Arike as he is fondly called, while speaking at the distribution center, disclosed that it is a yearly event and this year (2021) will be tagged ” AROLE Education Support Programme 2021.”
In his words, ”it is an effort to promote educational advancement of our youths in Oyo East/Oyo West constituency, data capturing and thumb printing of candidates has commenced first batch of the candidates at EACOED and Atiba University registration centres.
Arole further said that purpose of the sponsorship and free registration to expose the students to university education and choice of course of study at preferred university
He reiterated that the programme started in 2019 with 30 candidates and increased to 70 candidates in 2020, while this year’s edition of the exercise will accommodate 150 beneficiaries.
The Lawmaker, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Culture and Tourism, wished the candidates a successful outing and also charged them to prepare adequately for the examination.
