Abeokuta Golf Club has confirmed May 25th to 29th as the date for the second edition of the Ladies Open Golf Tournament. Lady Captain of the prestigious club, Kessy Agana Erayetan disclosed.
The highlight of the programmes as released by the club indicated that action will start with the caddies, staff and children competition on Tuesday, May 25, while invited professionals taking to the course on Wednesday, May 26.
On Thursday, May 27, ladies from handicap 29 to 36 will take to the course, while participants will be arriving at the venue and a cocktail party will be held in the evening to welcome golfers and sponsors.
Ladies from handicap 0 to 28 will storm the course on Friday, May 28 alongside men and sponsors while the competition proper will take place on Saturday, May 29 when ladies and men will all be playing together to determine the winners in various categories lined up for action.
The ceremonial tee off according to the information released to newsmen by the Lady Captain, Erayetan will be held on Thursday by 11am, after which golfers from notable invited golf clubs will be welcome to the rock-city for the thrilling golf tourney.
She expressed that efforts to bring in new innovation that will move the lady section forward are underway as parts of promises made during the inaugural address as the Lady Captain of the club.
