As the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly is winding down and the 10th will be inaugurated in a few days, the governor of the state, Engr. Seyi Makinde has endorsed the incumbent Speaker, Hon. Debo Ogundoyin for the second term.
Governor Makinde made this announcement on Monday during the commissioning of electrification and restoration of electricity to Olorunda Ogunsola & environs and Idi Obi, Karen, Jigan Area in Ona-Ara Local Government.
The project was donated by Engr. Dotun Sanusi which was commissioned by His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde.
Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin is the most ranking among the 32 lawmakers in the state having represented his constituency for the 3rd consecutive terms in the state hallow chamber.
Meanwhile, the Oyo State House of Assembly will on Thursday this week hold its valedictory session
The plenary will wrap up the activities of the 9th state House Assembly.
The announcement was made by the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin through Special Assistant on Media, Oyetunji Oyekunle
The Speaker expressed appreciation to all the members for their unwavering support, commitment and dedication to their legislative duties, saying that together the lawmakers have made history as the best in the annals of legislature in the state
Recall that, the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly was inaugurated by the state Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde on June 10, 2019.
The valedictory session is to be attended by the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, other dignitaries including Government functionaries, past leaders and lawmakers of the Assembly, leaders of political parties, traditional rulers and other stakeholders
