Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has received thousands of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters into the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) during the Boye Nation and JAF Movement Concert held at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
The of the event, themed “Young, United, Unstoppable (YUU),” attracted political leaders, APM candidates, supporters and other stakeholders from across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State.
Makinde Receives Thousands of APC Supporters as APM Gains New Entrants
Speaking at the gathering, Makinde, who is seeking the presidential ticket of the APM ahead of the 2027 general elections, urged the APC governorship candidate in Oyo State, Barrister Sharafadeen Alli, and other gubernatorial candidates to focus on presenting their programmes and plans to the people rather than attacking his administration.
The governor advised the candidates to channel their political energy towards issues affecting the people of Oyo State and explain what they intend to do for the state if elected.
The event also witnessed the formal reception of thousands of APC loyalists and supporters into the APM. The new entrants were led by Mr. Ajiboye Akande Sangogade, popularly known as Boye Nation, who is described as a strong ally of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.
All APM candidates contesting the 2027 general elections, local government chairmen, party leaders and supporters from the 33 local government areas were present at the concert, which provided a platform for the party to showcase its growing support base in Oyo State.
