Makinde Names Ogunwuyi, Ajibola, Olatunbosun, Others As Members Of Transition Committee

The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has named his Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi as Chairman of the Transition and Inauguration Committee.

The governor equally appointed his Special Assistant on Special Duties, Lolade Ajibola as the Secretary of the Committee.

The inauguration was imperative to ensure that the machinery of government continued to roll smoothly.

The Committee which will coordinate the activities for the inauguration of the governor on May 29, 2023, was equally organised to maintain stability, build on solid status of the state and ensure seamless transition into Omitutun 2.0 of the Governor-elect, Engr. Seyi Makinde and his Deputy, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal.

According to the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, who disclosed this during a press briefing today shortly after the 4th state executive council meeting, said others who made the list include Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, Abdulmajeed Mogbonjubola, Dayo Ogungbenro, Demola Ojo and others.

Olatubosun explained that the state excos deemed it exigent to compose an Inauguration/Transition Committee since the present government will not be handing over to an opposition government.

The current administration will officially come to an end on May 29. Makinde, who was re-elected for a second term of office will be inaugurated the same day.
